It’s High-Time for High-Tech!

We really like technology. No, we love technology and all the ways it enhances our lives and practices. That’s why we’re excited to announce the launch of “High-Time for High-Tech, an educational campaign connecting dentists with the latest and greatest dental technology.  Digital technologies and high-tech modalities are the cornerstone of today’s efficient, profitable, state-of-the-art, and eco-friendly dental practices. Who doesn’t want that?

What is it?

“High-Time for High-Tech” is the EDA’s first educational campaign focusing solely on how technology helps dental offices reduce waste and pollution, save energy, water and money, and practice wellness-based dentistry.  The campaign also helps dental practitioners understand how technological tools, like digital imaging and salivary diagnostics, support them in effectively reaching wellness-lifestyle patients – 100 million of them in America alone.

Many of our members and dental practitioners around the world already take advantage of digital dentistry and may not realize that their office is greener than they think! There’s a 1:1 correlation between the high-tech choice and the eco-friendly choice, and we are committed to helping practices to get the most out of the investments in technology they make.

Stay tuned while we tweet up a storm between now and the 2012 ADA Convention in October, held in our backyard in San Francisco, where we’ll be hanging out at our special EDA booth and hosting a live twitter event.  Mark your calendars now for our FREE October 12th High-Time for High-Tech webinar, open to all dental professionals interested in learning how to run a high-tech, green dental office. Registration will open in early September at www.ecodentistry.org.  We’re launching the campaign with a tweetchat on Thursday August 9, at 10 a.m. PST; either check in live through the hash tag #ecodentistry, or log into tweetchat.com when you are able and check out the conversation by typing in the #ecodentistry hash tag.  In the meantime, be sure to follow the Eco-Dentistry Association on Facebook and Twitter  to stay abreast of the latest campaign highlights and special offers from sponsors.   We’ve already topped 18,000 Facebook followers, more than any other dental organization other than the ADA!
